State Try-outs Schedule

Hi All

Attached (pdf) is the tryout schedule for the 11's 13's 15's 17's Junior Ladies and Veterans State team tryouts.  I am yet to speak with the coaches of the Master and Senior Ladies to organize theirs.   After the three tryouts it will be up to the individual coaches where and when their training will be held.  All divisions bar 21's and Senior Men will name their squads at the Victorian Championships.

21's and Senior Men will be organized after the Vic's and players return from Worlds.

Please ensure that all your players are informed of the tryouts so that everyone has a chance to attend and perhaps if you print a copy of the schedule and place on the noticeboard at your rink for people to see.

There will be 3 tryouts for each division and then the coach will cut it back to a squad of 16 players and 3 goalies to be announced at Vic's.  There will be no cuts before Vic's.  To be eligible for teams players must have played Vic's or requested a dispensation.  Dispensations will not be given lightly.

All players need to pay the fee of $30 for the  3 trainings sessions upfront at the 1st session.  I will be attending these session and ask that everyone ensure that they have registered their name with me and paid the fees before training.

PHL Grand Final

The PHL season came to an exciting end yesterday.  Hyenas took out the Grand Final in overtime.  Final scores Hyenas 7 Inferno 6.  Congratulations to the Hyenas.  It was great to see the stands with lots of spectators which added to the atmosphere of the game.  They were certainly rewarded with a fantastic game of hockey which could have gone either way from the first drop of the puck to the last.

Thanks to the referees and scorers that have made themselves available this season.  Without you the games cannot go ahead.
